Natural alexandrite rings

Properties of Real Alexandrite
Natural alexandrite rings is a unique mineral with many qualities that contribute to its value overall, in addition to its color-changing properties.
Alexandrites are formed of the mineral Chrysoberyl which has the composition of BeAl204. They possess a refractive index of 1.746 to 1.755 with a birefringence that ranges from 0.008 to 0.010 and the specific gravity is 3.73.
It is believed that the Mohs scale is an important element in many aspects of the wearability of gems. The higher a gem's rating is on a scale of ten points is a sign of its durability. Alexandrite is extremely hard and is rated as an 8.5 in the Mohs scale. This means it is able to be used in pieces that could show the wear of such as rings. Being able to stand pressure is a sure indicator of genuine alexandrite.
Other characteristics of alexandrite are the cat's eye phenomenon among the most significant inclusions that can be found. It is normal for alexandrites to be created by mixing cuts. Because they're rarely seen in other than one-carat sizes that is why reducing the mass entirely can reduce waste and help preserve the already depleted supply.
